Phoenix House Recovery Centre - Catterick - cheque presentation

On Sunday 29th September Bad-Landers did a ride to Catterick to present a cheque for £2050 to Pheonix House.
This came from money raised at our Armed Forces Day 2013. Add to that £1500 we donated on the Ride of Respect in June and £2000 we generated last year from various fund raising events.

Phoenix House Recovery Centre in Catterick, run by Help for Heroes and supported by the Royal British Legion, offers support to those who have suffered life changing injuries and illnesses as they adapt to their new life.

The Centre is open to both serving and veteran members of the Armed Forces who have been wounded, injured or become sick whilst serving, and their families.

The £10.7m, purpose-built Centre has 46 en-suite bedrooms, four family rooms, an arts and craft room plus training, presentation and IT suites. A gymnasium with specialist equipment, a café and social areas also form part of the new Centre.

Additional help is given through the provision of a Support Hub at the Recovery Centre which brings together a range of Service Charities and organisations that collectively offer advice and guidance on a multitude of issues, such as money, health, housing and respite.  Available to residents, their families and veterans, the Hub is open to Army, Navy, RAF and the Territorial Army personnel.
